A family paradise on the Adriatic Sea
Camping Bijela Uvala in Croatia is a luxurious, spacious family campsite. Located in beautiful Istria, just five kilometres from the historic town of Poreč, this lively campsite offers a unique mix of nature, relaxation and family fun. The campsite is surrounded by deciduous and pine trees and is bordered by small bays, tiny islands just offshore and a crystal-clear sea.
Camping Bijela Uvala is a true paradise for water lovers! With four large swimming pools, children’s pools and slides, the whole family can enjoy hours of water fun. The campsite is located directly on the 1.5-kilometre-long beach, which is a mix of pebbles and rocks. The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag, recognising the clean seawater and excellent quality. So don’t forget to bring your snorkel, as the Adriatic Sea is known here for its diverse underwater life. Sun loungers and parasols can be hired on the beach.
The campsite offers plenty of activities for all ages. During the high season there is lots of entertainment for both children and adults. There are tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, table tennis and water sports activities.
Children can get creative and play games at the mini club in the morning and enjoy the evening entertainment programme later in the day. Older children and teenagers are also well catered for, with various sports and activities organised such as beach volleyball tournaments and aqua aerobics. In the evening there is live music. A popular nightclub is located around 500 metres from the campsite.
The campsite has a supermarket, bakery and several cosy restaurants and bars. Try local Croatian specialities such as ćevapčići at one of the restaurants on the campsite squares, or enjoy a pizza overlooking the swimming pool. The shops at the campsite are open until late in the evening during the high season.
Camping Bijela Uvala is surrounded by woodland and offers a fantastic base for exploring nearby towns. Discover the area by bike or hire a pedal boat to explore the nearby bays.
Tips in the area around Bijela Uvala
- Visit charming Poreč (5 km). This lively harbour town offers shops, restaurants and bars, as well as a lovely weekly evening market. The tourist train takes you to the centre of this historic coastal town.
- Visit the famous Baredine Cave.
- Wander through the picturesque town of Vrsar.
- Spend a day at Istralandia Water Park (between Umag and Poreč) or Aquacolors Poreč.
- Visit the picturesque and cultural town of Rovinj. Walk uphill towards St Euphemia Church and enjoy beautiful views over the town and sea.
- Just under an hour’s drive away lies the city of Pula, perfect for a day trip. Wander through streets filled with unique shops and visit the Pula Arena; this amphitheatre is one of the best-preserved historical monuments in all of Croatia.
