Glamping in Normandy with sea views
Camping L'Anse du Brick is located near the village of Maupertus-sur-Mer in beautiful Normandy. Its setting is truly spectacular, with the campsite spread across different levels, giving many pitches and accommodation wonderful sea views. Behind the campsite you'll find a woodland with walking trails and a stream. There is plenty to keep children entertained, including a heated indoor swimming pool with a waterslide. The roof can be opened, so you can swim indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. There is also a playground, pump track, bouncy castle and several sports pitches. During the peak season, the entertainment team organises activities for a range of age groups.
The campsite has two restaurants where, alongside delicious dishes, you can enjoy stunning views. There's also a shop for your daily essentials and freshly baked bread. The sea is just 150 metres away. A footbridge provides safe access across the road to the beach, where both soft sand and rocky areas offer hours of fun for all ages.
The surrounding area is perfect for exploring. Step straight from the campsite into a beautiful nature reserve with woodland, heathland and streams, discover Second World War bunkers, or follow the spectacular coastal walking trail.
Things to do near L'Anse du Brick
- Hire a kayak and explore the most beautiful parts of the Cotentin Peninsula from the water
- Discover the area's rich history, including Cherbourg, the Channel Islands and Mont-Saint-Michel
- Visit Barfleur, a charming fishing village with one of the most picturesque harbours in La Manche, and enjoy the famous Barfleur mussels, freshly harvested during the season
- If you're visiting with children, the Cité de la Mer museum and aquarium is highly recommended
- Explore the history of the Second World War with a visit to the D-Day landing beaches
- Walk part of the Customs Officers' Path, a 446-kilometre coastal trail stretching from Carentan to Mont-Saint-Michel, passing varied landscapes and picturesque villages along the English Channel
- Visit the Cap de la Hague peninsula, where you'll find rugged landscapes, dramatic cliffs and breathtaking natural scenery
