Glamping in Twente
Surrounded by nature in the beautiful Twente region, you'll find Papillon Country Resort. This versatile family resort is located in Denekamp, just a stone's throw from the German border. Papillon Country Resort offers plenty of facilities. There's an indoor swimming pool with a retractable roof that opens on sunny days. Younger children can enjoy a separate paddling pool with play equipment and an interactive water play area with a spray park. There's also a recreational lake with its own sandy beach. In the water you'll find a giant inflatable iceberg, guaranteed to provide hours of climbing fun. Fishing is also allowed in the lake.
During the school holidays, the entertainment team organises activities and shows for all ages, including treasure hunts, live shows and craft sessions. It's especially popular with primary school-aged children. There are both indoor and outdoor playgrounds, as well as several sports fields. Younger children can also follow a fun gnome trail around the campsite. The resort has a shop, snack bar and restaurant. Sustainability and energy efficiency are a top priority here. From the play equipment to the toilet facilities, everything has been designed with sustainability in mind.
Our fully equipped safari tents are located on fields B and C. Each tent features comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a complete bathroom, air conditioning, heating and a lovely terrace. These fields are car-free, and every tent has its own parking space within walking distance.
The Twente region in Overijssel is known for its rugged yet peaceful countryside. With beautiful woodlands to explore, fields dotted with grazing cows and charming traditional villages, it's a wonderful area to discover.
