Small campsite in the French hills
In the beautiful Charente countryside, not far from the village of Saulgond, you'll find Camping Moulin du Pommier. This small campsite is set among the rolling hills of the stunning French countryside near Limoges.
This spacious campsite features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a pétanque court, a table tennis table and a fishing pond. Around the site, you'll also find several hammocks and cosy seating areas. At the charming restaurant at Camping Moulin du Pommier, you can enjoy fresh homemade meals and homemade pizzas, and once a week there is a communal barbecue. There is also a small shop stocking all the essentials.
The safari tents are tucked among the trees on a site of more than eight hectares. They are tastefully furnished and fully equipped with every comfort. A fully equipped kitchen – including a kitchen unit on wheels so you can cook outdoors too – two or three bedrooms, a bathroom and a lovely veranda with lounge seating.
The nearest airport is Limoges–Bellegarde, 39 km from the campsite.
Things to do near Moulin du Pommier
- Visit Confolens, a beautiful medieval town on the banks of the River Vienne. In August, it hosts a folklore festival.
- Enjoy a day on the golf course; La Prèze Golf Course is 39 km away.
- Visit the vibrant historic city of Limoges.
- Follow one of the walking or cycling routes in the surrounding area.
- Visit the medieval town of Saint-Junien.
- The town of Oradour-sur-Glane is also well worth a visit. During the Second World War, almost the entire village was wiped out in a German reprisal. The village has remained preserved exactly as it was ever since.
