Enjoy peace, space and nature in Drenthe
Nestled in the woodland surroundings of Ees and Borger, you'll find Camping de Zeven Heuveltjes. This welcoming family campsite is set in the beautiful and varied Hondsrug region of Drenthe. This small, well-maintained campsite is ideal for families with young children, as well as anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature.
The campsite has two heated saltwater swimming pools: a main pool and a paddling pool for little ones. Both are open from 1 May until 15 September. There are several playgrounds, a sandpit and an air trampoline. The campsite also offers plenty of sports facilities, including a sports field, table tennis and pétanque. Bikes and go-karts are available to hire, and during the school holidays there is a fun entertainment programme.
Our safari tents feature comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and terrace, and are set on spacious pitches surrounded by a variety of greenery. This allows you to enjoy all the comforts of glamping with plenty of privacy.
Camping de Zeven Heuveltjes has a small campsite shop where you can pick up freshly baked bread rolls every morning. The nearby villages of Borger and Exloo are perfect for groceries, cosy café terraces and restaurants.
The Hondsrug is a long sandy ridge stretching from Emmen to Groningen and is one of the highest parts of Drenthe. It's a beautiful woodland area with plenty of natural swimming lakes. Fancy getting even higher? Take a walk along the Boomkroonpad, where you'll quite literally stroll among the treetops.
